Frank Rosalez"I have been an artist as long as I can remember and started out drawing comic book style characters, but that changed when I discovered Dungeons & Dragons. I designed and wrote "Lords Of The Sword" a comic book which I was unable to get published. I did however get a copy write on it and my characters. "I was also a graphic artist for the Iowa Air National Guard for over ten years of my twenty plus years of service. I received many awards for my artwork for the Guard. In one instance I took first place for graphic illustration in a national contest between all Guard and Reserve units throughout the nation. "In a National Military Art competition I took first place for graphic illustration of an F-16 fighting Falcon. I also was able to design a tail flash that was put on the tail of an F-16 which flew the no fly zone between Turkey and Iraq. "My favourite forms of art are fantasy and science fiction. Though I am not limited to those two. I draw and paint I also do sculpting and wood carving along with woodworking and poetry. I have used many computer programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Solidworks, Illustrator, and Corel Draw. My favourite subjects are people and I try to make even my fantasy art look as real as possible. "I have created a lot of designs for such things as logos, ball caps, t-shirts, business cards and much more. "My first love however is fantasy and sci-fi art. I love strange creatures dragons and the many strange and unusual clothing, armor and weaponry. But ... I am still trying to make it as a professional artist, it's a tough field out there." I haven't found much Vampirella art by Frank, but I'm sure you'll agree that he has talent and an interesting perspective on her. |
