Al Rio
No one could have been happier than I when I heard that Al Rio was doing a cover for Vampirella. And sure enough, the cover to Revelations
II was a beauty.
I had come across Al's work on eBay and I have a Vampirella sketch by him in my collection (the second red sketch in the fourth row below). Having seen his work on eBay and visited his web site I knew the quality of his art. I can only imagine what a whole Vampirella comic book illustrated by him would be like!
Al has his own distinctive take on Vampirella - he gives her a certain "look" that is his own. I do like Al Rio's work and hope to see more Vampirella covers in the future.
