Jeff PrestonJeff is, first and foremost, an Illustrator. His primary focus seems to be the classical horror genre, with some stunning illustrations of Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and a plethora of "monsters" from days gone by. Examples of his work can be seen at http://www.myspace.com/oldschoolillustrator . Based in Gallatin, Tennessee Jeff adds designer, musician, educator, and theatrical producer to his list of talents. Recently voted into the New York Society of Illustrators, a long held dream come true, Jeff's body of work has finally been acknowledged by his peers. Jeff states on MySpace "I have been fortunate in my life in that I have met those who inspired me and first carved the paths I have taken. From sharing a stage with Bill Monroe, the father of Bluegrass music (and his front porch with below listed friend Carl Jackson) to an afternoon with Frank Frazetta the man who ignited a creative spark in me over 43 years ago ... it still burns with fury." Considering that his passion is the horror genre it is somewhat surprising that he has only done one Vampirella illustration! But what an illustration it is. Reminiscent of Enrique Torres and Manuel San Julián from the Warren stable I hope that now he has a taste for Vampirella there will be more to come. |
