Jon V Jones
Though I do delve casually in the general world of comic book/fantasy art I hadn't come across Jon Jones until I saw his stunning depiction of Vampirella on eBay.
Jon's more usual fare is fantasy and mythological art, and his web site has some amazing fairies, demons, centaurs, sirens and the like. He certainly has a flair for the "human" form, and his Vampirella painting was an instant "must have".
To cut a long story short, I now have this piece of art in my collection and am proud to say that this is the only (to date) painting of Vampirella he has ever done. Jon informed me that "it's not my usual subject matter but every now and then, I like to try new things."
I certainly hope that this won't be his only piece of Vampirella art, I , for one, would like to see more.
