Vampirella gallery biographies.

Sometimes different comic book publishers collaborate and have
special editions which feature characters from two different comic
book "universes".
Vampirella has been "crossed" with a variety of characters
from other publishers (Witchblade, Lady Death, Shadowhawk, Magdalena
and Painkiller Jane leap immediately to mind).
There is no story in this comic book. What we have here is a collection
of double page spreads of Vampirella with the above mentioned characters
from other publications.
The artwork ranges from stunning to downright bizarre (depending
on taste, of course), and the whole thing is rounded off with
a couple of pages containing very short biographies of each of the
artists.
Apart from the chrome and holochrome versions of the standard cover,
Harris issued a set of four virgin covers featuring examples of
the interior artwork.
If I had to pick a favourite picture, it would probably be the
Painkiller Jane one; probably because the Vampirella/
Painkiller Jane crossover comic is one of my favourite "fun"
Vampirella comics and always makes me smile. |
